During a recent visit to Pretoria, OFM News' agri editor Sabrina Dean made a turn at the Agricultural Research Council’s Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute. One of the people she spoke to is head of parasitology, Sikhumbuzo Mbizeni. In this extract from the full interview, he explains more about the work being done by his department. He speaks about ground-breaking research into a new type of heartwater vaccine. He also shares some advice around good preventative management practices:
