In this week’s Kus tot Kruin, we spoke to Lynette Whittaker from Earth Legacy Foundation about the growing concern over the pressure being placed on South Africa’s shark populations.
🌊 Lynette explained how members of the community and conservation groups are trying to make government authorities more aware of the seriousness of the destruction of our shark resources, with particular concern around the impact of longline fishing.
🏊 We also heard about Kane Johnstone’s third solo swim, from Dana Bay Conservancy to The Point in Mossel Bay, using this remarkable effort to help draw attention to the importance of protecting our marine environment.
