The PACOFS Spotlight showcases events from the heart of the performing arts in the Free State, every Wednesday at 09:45 with Yolanda Maartens on OFM. This week the spotlight is on the Yarona Youth Festival. “Yarona” is a phrase that translates to It is Ours – it is an annual community arts festival that is the brainchild of PACOFS. The Yarona Festival productions are part of the PACOFS Creative Incubator Program where local artists are provided with financial and skills transfer support in the various aspects of these productions to enhance job creation and sustainability over a period of time. The Ya Rona Festival takes place at Studio 1 and 2 at PACOFS from 30 Jan till 1 Feb 2025 and provides a platform for multi-disciplined artist of various genres such as drama, music and dance. The program consists of 5 productions.
