The Statistician General Risenga Maluleke has raised concerns about the ongoing lootings taking place in various parts of the country. He said this will have a negative impact on the economy of the country and the poor will become poorer especially the vulnerable ones which are women and children. Speaking to Nghamula Chauke, Maluleke called for calm during these trying times saying these protests and lootings will leave a trail of destruction and many people will lose their lives.
