#SRDgrants| IEJ argues that the SRD grant is exclusionary.

The Institute for Economic Justice says the Social Relief of Distress grant which was introduced to assist everyone who is unable to support themselves has now become exclusionary and discriminatory. The Institute says millions of eligible people have been excluded through restrictive regulations, administrative barriers, and an inadequate budget. Speaking to Nghamula Chauke, the IEJ's Senior Policy Specialist Neil Coleman questions why those applying for this grant must be subjected to the online-only application system, citing that there are those who might not even have smart phones that will allow them to use the internet.
