What's new in Farmer's Weekly? (6:10)
In our Friday insert, only on OFM News' Agri Hour, Christal-Lize Muller speaks to the editor of Farmer’s Weekly, Denene Erasmus, about the latest news in the agricultural industry covered in the magazine and on its website...

(FOR THE WEB: She highlights the August 21 of Farmer's Weekly. In the news section there is a story on the country's economic indicators. In another story the magazine takes a look at South Africa's foot-and-mouth deceases status. The country is still struggling to regain its foot-and-mouth decease free status. This is due to the current outbreak in Limpopo where culling is still taking place of animals which tested positive for the decease and because of this situation it is still unclear when South Africa will regain its free status again from the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

Together with that there is a story about a recent meeting that took place in Parliament with the portfolio committee of agriculture, about the Agricultural Research Council that still not have the capacity to produce efficient foot-and-mouth decease vaccine. This still needs to be imported from Botswana.
