Pieter Moller reports on less plastic for packaging fruit and vegetables

The South African Fresh Produce Industry has accelerated its efforts to make use of less plastic in the packaging of fresh fruit and vegetables. Food stores such as Woolworths has started to implement recyclable packaging . These methods will save up to 70 tons of plastic per year according to researchers. Sustainable packaging will still protect fresh fruit and vegetables.
