After weeks of uncertainty and rife speculation over the future of the cash strapped Kopanong Local Municipal manager, Martin Kubeka's, his position at municipality looks to be under threat. This as OFM News has reliably learnt that Kubeka was formally suspended on Friday, days after his special leave came to an end. Kubeka was put on a 30 days special leave in mid-march after a stand off with the South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU) over a historic debt of at least R58 million amongst other things. OFM News' Pulane Choane reports that he has also been accused of maladministration by irate Samwu affiliated employees.
