The former Proteas fast bowler and assistant coach, Allan Donald, believes that the shock retirement of AB de Villiers could have an impact on the Proteas chances of winning the ICC Cricket World Cup next year.

This came as a surprise as De Villiers previously indicated that he still wanted to play one more World Cup and possibly win it.

Speaking to OFM Sport from London, Donald, says that a Proteas team at the World Cup without De Villiers in a big deal.

The Proteas face England in just more than a year from now at the Oval in the opening match of the World Cup.
