Free State Provincial Police Commissioner Moeketsi Sempe has condemned the crimes increasingly committed against students, especially in the Universitas area in Bloemfontein. In the latest incident, several students at a commune in Stegmann Street were held at gunpoint and robbed of their laptops and cell phones by three unknown suspects. According to police spokesperson Thandi Mbambo, information and tracking led the trio task team to a house in JB Mafora, where one of the suspects lived. She says upon arrival one of the suspects retaliated and in turn was fatally wounded by police. She says one suspect, aged 31, was arrested while the third fled the scene. Katleho Morapela - OFM News
