The long arm of the law has taken a tough stance towards criminal activity in the Kimberley CBD. A Safer City operation involving foot and vehicle police patrols was held in the Northern Cape capital yesterday. The Firearm, Liquor, and Second Hand Goods Unit (FLASH,) police emergency response and operational response services all took part. Earlier this week, six suspects were found in possession of almost R100 000 worth of stolen items. Police confiscated clothing, beauty products and perfume suspected to be stolen. According to police spokesperson Sergio Kock, second hand retailers were also visited. - Nomaqhawe Mtebele / OFM News
