No salaries for Xhariep officials

Trompsburg - The officials and councillors of Xhariep District Municipality in the Free State have not received their salaries for February. Shop steward at the municipality Diau Ntsane confirmed this to OFM News after a letter penned by the Municipal Manager Lebohang Moletsane, was circulated on social media this week.In the letter dated February 22nd, Moletsane apologises to municipal staff for “once again” having to inform them that there would delays to payment of salaries due to the municipality’s “current financial situation”. Ntsane told OFM News that he was unable to provide detail on the matter yet, but did share the municipality’s reason for its cash flow problem.Municipal Manager, Lebohang Moletsane has not responded to OFM’s enquiries.
