Police Minister Fikile Mbalula is in Rustenburg today to commend local police officers on their progress made investigating killings in the Marikana area. Spokesperson Vuyo Mhaga says that crimes have increased after the Marikana massacre in 2012. Murders, car hijackings and other violent crimes have allegedly been taking place between rival labour unions. Police undertook a secret operation to specifically address these crimes. Mbalula will be announcing how many arrests have been made since the operation began. - Nomaqhawe Mtebele/OFM News
