#VredeDairy: FS gov to comply

Bloemfontein - The Free State provincial government has undertaken to present their plan of remedial action pertaining to the Vrede Dairy project to the Public Protector within 30 days, as stipulated.Free State director general Kopung Ralikontsane says they're very concerned about the report's findings. Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane highlighted procurement irregularities and maladministration in connection with the project at the Estina Dairy Farm in Vrede. The project was supposed to have benefited 100 people but it is alleged that over 200 million rand was channeled into the Gupta linked Estina company's account. Provincial government has welcomed the report and will abide with the public protector's report. - Cathy Dlodlo/OFM News
