Suspects linked to BFN store robberies apprehended

Bloemfontein - Police have arrested three suspects after an attempted robbery at a shopping centre in Bayswater. According to police spokesperson Masilela Langa, police received a tip-off about a planned robbery targeting the SPAR in the centre. After police arrived on the scene at about 8pm last night, one suspect fired a shot at one of the police officers, and they fled the scene in a silver BMW. Langa says as police gave chase the suspects started throwing their firearms out of the windows. Langa adds the suspects are possibly linked to a previous armed robbery at Meditas SPAR, in Universitas, Bloemfontein. - Josca Human/OFM News
