Kuruman attack suspect may have committed suicide

Police suspect that a 31-year-old man, believed to be a foreigner, found hanging in the Kathu police cells on Thursday morning, committed suicide.
The man was arrested in connection with the attack on an elderly couple in Kuruman.
This Marianna Fourie was found by the Mothibistand police in an abandoned Izuzu bakkie on the N14 on Wednesday morning. She was severely beaten with her hands tied inside the vehicle.
Police spokesperson, Sergio Kock, says the police later went to the small holding where the body of her husband, Danie, was discovered.
