It’s a big week for Bloemfontein Celtic with the team traveling to Limpopo for their 2017 Telkom Knockout semi-final against Polokwane City. The team has enjoyed a good run of late in all competitions and find themselves in fourth in the Premier Soccer League standings. On their round to the last four Celtic beat last season’s losing finalists SuperSport United on penalties after coming back from 2-0 down with 20 minutes of regulation time left on the clock. In their quarter-finals Phunya Sele Sele once again came back from behind to beat Roger de Sa’s Platinum Stars 2-1 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg. Rise and Shine in their turn sent Ajax Cape Town packing and then stunned the much more fancies Orlando Pirates in Soweto. Celtic are optimistic about their chances of winning the competition, but the manager John Maduka, warned that Polokwane cannot be taken lightly.
