Toyota Cheetahs target more polished effort against Munster

Adapting and defence will be the Toyota Cheetahs’ two major areas of focus ahead of their Guinness Pro14 second round match against Munster.

The Cheetahs were well and truly beaten at the breakdown and questions were raised about their defence during their 42-19 defeat to Ulster in Belfast.

While the Cheetahs showed glimpses of brilliance during their match, they were outplayed by Ulster.

The Cheetahs coach, Rory Duncan, says not too much needs to change but they need better execution.

At one stage in the match the Cheetahs held a 14-8 lead, however, a yellow card to the flanker, Henco Venter, proved costly as Ulster crossed the whitewash three time during the 10 minute period he was off the field.

Duncan refused to blame the sanction for the teams’ demise at the Kingspan Stadium.

Munster host the Cheetahs on Saturday evening with kick-off at Thomond Park at 18:15.
