Mangaung service delivery resumes

Service delivery by the Mangaung Metro in Bloemfontein and surrounding areas has resumed this week following a strike of more than a month by municipal workers, affiliated to the South African Municipal Workers Union, regarding various issues. Executive Mayor, Olly Mlamleli, says municipal employees are back at work. Additional contractors have been brought in to assist the Metro with the backlog of refuse removal services. This comes after refuse in black bags have been piling up throughout the city during the strike. Mlamleli, however, says the metro is concerned about garden rubbish among refuse.
