'Bloem Water drastically cutting supply to Mangaung over outstanding debt'

Residents of the Mangaung Metro are being urged to conserve water after claims that Bloem Water is only releasing 30% of the normal daily supply to Bloemfontein and surrounds. DA Councillor, Rossouw Botes, says areas like Pellissier, Lourier Park, Kwaggafontein and Feirreira have had limited water supply since yesterday afternoon. He says some residents in these areas have no water this morning. Botha says water supply problems are likely extend to other areas in the city. Botes says he received reliable information that Bloem Water will reduce water supply to the Metro due to debt of R340 million which has accumulated over the last few months.
