Budget speech: Govt overspending, new tax reforms expected

An economist says we could hear about new tax reforms when the Finance Minister delivers his budget speech tomorrow.

Dawie Roodt says when Pravin Gordhan takes to the podium at Parliament, the spotlight will also be on controversial issues like the overspending of public funds by government officials.

Roodt says while the answer is to cut State spending, Gordhan will most likely explore another option.
