President Jacob Zuma's son says last night's chaotic scenes in the National Assembly have embarrassed South Africa on the international stage. Edward Zuma's comment comes after the State of the Nation Address, which was marred by violence and insults, was delayed by more than an hour after EFF MPs were forcibly removed from the House and DA members staged a walk-out.
EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi asked the President to leave the House, calling him a constitutional delinquent. A brawl ensued and EFF MPs were removed from the House. The DA also staged a walkout, but not before chief whip John Steenhuisen accused President Zuma of breaking South Africa. Edward Zuma says his father would not be phased by the personal attacks.
