Political analyst Somadoda Fikeni believes the support shown by Cosatu for Cyril Ramaphosa to succeed President Jacob Zuma is the first significant endorsement for the Deputy President.
The trade union federation made the announcement during a media briefing on Thursday.
This as calls for Zuma to step down have been increasing.
