EFF North West

The EFF in North West is hopeful that they will win in the two wards in which their candidates died this week. Ward 32 candidate in Khuma in the Matlosana Local Municipality, Dorothea Sekoto, suddenly died over the weekend while on a campaign trail. Her death came as a shock to the party. She died after she submitted her canvassing sheet at the EFF Regional Office in Dr. Kenneth Kaunda. This tragedy was followed by another when Francis Matlabe, an Eff candidate in the Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati region died in a car accident on election day. The EFF’s Mpoletsang Montshosi says Francis Matlabe died after he dropped off volunteers and party agents at Graspan voting station. Montshosi says the EFF ground forces continued to mobilise in these two wards in an effort to win despite the loss.
