OFM continues to pay homage to changemakers this Women’s Month. Today we hear more about a woman who despite her humble upbringing rose to prominence at the end of the nineteenth century. With her first novel compared to work of English writer Emily Brontë, and considered one of the most important feminist writers of the era, the nomadic author Olive Schreiner also left her footprints in Central South Africa. Elzette Boucher found out more about this remarkable woman. Let us know about a change-maker in your community, SMS ‘changemaker’ and the details of your inspirational woman (name, city, contact details, motivation) to 36636 (R1.50/SMS). Or email changemaker@ofm.co.za.
