Today marks the start of the 2016 Tax Season and South Africans are being urged to play their part by honestly declaring their earnings.
SARS is urging taxpayers to submit their returns online via e-filing.
SARS spokespersohn Mark Kingon says those who are not clear about what's required of them or about the process involved are welcome to call the SARS call centre to speak to an agent.
Kingon says they're expecting to exceed last year's R1 trillion collected.
