The leader of the DA, Mmusi Maimane, says murder is spiralling out of control in South Africa.
Maimane visited the Nampo Harvest Day farm near Bothaville to lay a sheaf of flowers at the Wall of Remembrance for farm attack victims.
The walls were erected to remember farmers and their families killed during farm attacks in the different provinces. Maimane said the high murder rate is also evident in the farming community. He said more needs to done to address the situation.
The Wall of Remembrance was erected by the Hennenman Farmers Association.
