Former finance minister Nhlanhla Nene has expressed confidence that the country's economy will bounce back.
Nene was honoured with the Fellowship of the Mangosuthu University of Technology for his contribution to the finance field.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, he touched on the state of our economy.
He also said he'd been in talks with investment company, Allan Gray, since late December - the same month he was fired by President Jacob Zuma.
Nene, who was appointed a non-executive director on the company's board, says he feels the company best fitted his profile.
