The Free State has become the fourth province in which the Ahmed Kathrada and Nelson Mandela Foundations have launched their Anti-Racism Network South Africa (ARNSA).
Speaking at the network’s provincial launch in Bloemfontein, Sean Moodley from the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation, said the network has already been launched in the Western Cape, Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, adding that the Northern Cape will soon follow.
A public dialogue on racism was also held by the Mangaung Metro Municipality in partnership with the University of the Free State’s (UFS) Institute for Reconciliation and Social Justice.
Moodley believes faith-based organisations and sport play a huge role in eradicating racism.
