Opposition parties are hopeful that the Constitutional Court will rule in their favour today and order President Jacob Zuma to adhere to the Public Protector's Nkandla findings and pay back the money.
Thuli Madonsela found that Zuma unduly benefited from some of the upgrades and should repay a portion of the R246 million spent, which the President has agreed to do, more than two years later.
Maryke Vermaak reports that the court is also expected to provide more clarity on Madonsela's powers during the much anticipated judgment.
