And then there were four – the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup get underway this afternoon when the resurgent English face the in-form Black Caps of New Zealand.
Both teams will enter the knock-out match full of confidence, but the scale will be tipping heavily in favour of the Black Caps after good wins against India, Australia, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The English in their turn lost to the West Indies and scraped to victories against the South Africa, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
New Zealand have never won the T20 World Cup or any World Cup for that matter, while the England won the tournament in 2010.
