The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) says officials will be targeting areas where people gather to drink over the Easter holidays.
The corporation wants to halve the number of fatalities on our roads this holiday.
Spokesperson Simon Zwane says they want to catch motorists who will be consuming alcohol before they get behind the wheel.
Zwane says long distance public transport drivers will also be targeted.
