Decision on latest Eskom price increase request expected next month

National Energy Regulator, Nersa says a decision on whether to approve Eskom's application for a more than 16 percent tariff increase will be made before the end of next month.
Nersa has spent the past week hearing submissions from affected parties in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban, including environmental organisations, business and community members.
Eskom says it needs the tariff hike to recover some R22-billion.
Nersa's Thembani Bukula says all the submissions made will be taken into consideration.
