Man (90) critical after dog attack

A 90-year-old man is in a critical condition after he was mauled by a dog in Water Edge, Carletonville yesterday afternoon. ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing says the elderly man was walking in the area when a pitbull suddenly attacked him. He sustained injuries to his head, neck and left hand.

Bodasing could not immediately say what happened to the dog following the attack. The police investigation continues.
