Dr Taskeen Fathima Docrat
Is an experienced research scientist with a PhD in Medical Biochemistry,
specialising in molecular and cell biology, neuroscience, mental health,
toxicology, and both metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. Her work is rooted in
a deep commitment to understanding disease at a molecular level and advancing
preventative health strategies.
She has collaborated extensively with the South African Rooibos Council, where
she explored the molecular and cellular potential of Rooibos herbal tea as a
preventative intervention for Alzheimer’s disease and other non-communicable
diseases, contributing to innovative and locally grounded health solutions.
