The Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, has warned that they will have to be at their best during their two key 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers that will be played in Bloemfontein next month.
On Thussday, Broos, named his final 23-man squad for the vital Group C qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria at the Toyota Stadium.
One of the surprise selectors is the inclusion of the former SuperSport United defender, Ime Okon, who now plays for Hannover 96 in Germany. Okon represented Bafana earlier in the year during the COSAFA Cup in Bloemfontein, and he certainly impressed.
Broos said in his mind there is no doubt that Okon deserves at crack at the highest level of international football.
