The 25-year-old Franco Smith Jr is fit and ready to run out at flyhalf on Saturday when the Toyota Cheetahs take on Western Province in Bloemfontein in round four of the Currie Cup.
Smith was initially named to start in the number 10 jersey this week, but he injured his ankle in training on Tuesday, sparking genuine concerns that he might miss out on his first home start for the team. However, he has made a full recovery and is set to take the field, with seasoned campaigner Clayton Blommetjies providing cover off the bench.
Smith told OFM Sport that he he fit and ready for the challenge.
