The Toyota Cheetahs have made a major signing following the conclusion of the 2025 Varsity Cup, which was won by the University of Cape Town Ikeys on Monday night.
The Cheetahs have secured the signature of UCT Ikeys winger, Ntokozo Makhaza, who will be returning to his home province.
Bethlehem-born Makhaza—who all but single-handedly clinched the Varsity Cup title for UCT, ending an 11-year drought—has been named Player of the Tournament for the second year running.
He put in a phenomenal performance in the final against Maties at the Danie Craven Stadium, scoring 32 points to take his season tally to an impressive 155.
