The Blitzboks have made a few injury-enforced changes ahead of the 2024 Cape Town 7’s which kicks off tomorrow in the Mother City.
The two-time world series winner and Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Mfundo Ndhlovu, makes a welcome return to the Springbok Sevens team, while the uncapped Zander Reynders has been included.
Last week during the Dubai 7’s in the UAE the hard-grafting Ryan Oosthuizen and Christie Grobbelaar both picked up injuries which ruled them out for the home tournament.
The coach, Philip Snyman, said injuries are part and parcel of the game.
The Blitzboks will kick-off their Cape Town 7’s campaign tomorrow morning at 11:44 against Ireland.
