The Proteas interim head coach, Malibongwe Maketa, has been impressed with Gerard Coetzee thus far in the national setup.
The Proteas are in Brisbane in preparation for their three-Test series against Australia that gets underway this week.
The Proteas have a very settled pace attack with the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortjé, while the 22-yearold Coetze oof the Knights in the Test setup for the first time.
Maketa told OFM Sport that Coetzee has impressed him and the other players.
