Fuel price structure petition gains momentum

The Automobile Association’s petition to have the fuel price structure reviewed is gaining momentum, with nearly 25 000 citizens having signed on thus far.

The AA’s Layton Beard says February’s fuel price hike proves that the components of the fuel price needs to be reviewed as soon as possible.

The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy published the latest fuel price adjustments for February 2022, revealing that petrol will rise by 53 cents a litre, diesel will be up by 80 cents a litre, and illuminating paraffin by a whopping R1.01 cents a litre. ​
