Tshiamiso Trust warns against silicosis settlement scams

The Tshiamiso Trust warns individuals looking to claim from that R 5 billion settlement awarded to gold mineworkers who contracted silicosis between March 1965 and December 2019, against scams. Spokesperson for Tshiamiso, Monako Dibetle, says they are seeing an influx of scams demanding processing fees from unknowing individuals. Dibetle says the Trust does not ask for any initiation fees.
