Go boima gore ba lelapa ba phethele mohu ka tsela ya se-Afrika pele ba boloka, bjale ke gona mo bothata bo thomang gona!" - Morena Ramathoka, the National Secretary of the Funeral Practitioners Association.

Last week, Limpopo Health MEC Phophi Ramathuba met with stakeholders like parlours and associations in the Limpopo funeral industry. The outcomes from that came out in the announcements we saw last week where the Health MEC said that we should avoid going attending funerals and catering is not compulsory. The funeral industry is feeling the impact of Covid-19 and their capacity has been compromised as well.

In this Podcast, Mpho Mashita and DJ Complexion talk to the National Secretary of the Funeral Practitioners Association, Mr. Ramathoka, about the updated burial processes and the compliance or non-compliance from Limpopo residents as well as the challenges around burial rituals that need to be performed by the family.
