
MJC, AWQAF SA and Mustadafin Foundation pay tribute to Dr Anwah Nagia

So of course, yesterday we heard the devastating news that Dr Anwah Nagia, one of Cape Town’s foremost human rights activists, businessman and philanthropists died at the age of 62 years old on Monday. He had spent the past month battling COVID-19 in hospital, following recent heart surgery. His death has of course sent shockwaves through South Africa. Dr Anwah Nagia was of course a regular voice on VOC when it came to issues of Palestine, land and restitution, gentrification and so many other social economic issues.
