Is unity on the cards for Hamas & Fatah?

Fractured Palestinian political factions are working diligently in multilateral talks to restore unity and mend the division between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in negotiations far more promising than previous efforts.

Meanwhile, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain will today sign an agreement with Israel at the White House establishing full ties in violation of the Arab Peace Initiative.

But the formation of the joint leadership group and progress in the intra-Palestinian unity talks came after a long-awaited meeting among PA, Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

We now chat to political activist close to Hamas, Mr Motea Msabeh, who will help us to understand how far the unity efforts have moved.
