SA NGO sector in crisis

Following the announcement that the country will go into lockdown in March this year, due to the covid 19 pandemic, many organisations and institutions have shut their doors as they find themselves in unprecedented times due to the virus. Now NGO’s are possibly looking at the same fate as many NGO’s struggle as funds and donations promised to them has not been provided or there appears to be a delay of some sorts. Community chest CEO Lorenzo Davids put together an opinion piece about this and this morning we chat to him to explain why NGO’s are so important in SA.
