So, we know that in many areas across South Africa where there are small Muslim communities, there is a real struggle to locate and purchase land for prayer. The Durbanville Muslim community for example has for years been using a community hall, despite having a growing population of Muslims. I know that many times, they are unable to accommodate the numbers of musallees at Jumuah. Well good news is that the Durbanville Islamic Society have submitted a tender to the City of Cape Town for a piece of land on which to build a masjid.
