An Amanzimtoti homeowner has told President Cyril Ramaphosa about the moment he lost everything in the severe KwaZulu-Natal floods.

Johan Fourie told Ramaphosa how he had been sitting in his Rockview Road home, south of Durban when water started gushing in on Monday night.

A massive sink hole developed, swallowing Fourie's home, several vehicles and an entire stretch of the road outside.
