Precious Tumisho Thamaga (Dip: Event Management; Dip: Project Management A qualified and experienced saught after Wedding and Event Planner. Precious has over 9 years of industry experience and knowledge and has planned and staged well over 200 breathtaking celebrations planned and coordinated all over South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Swaziland. As the CEO & Founder of Precious Celebrations, she has solid industry experience in the eventing, public relations, telecommunication, retail and hospitality industry.
She hail's from a small village in the beautiful province of Limpopo and currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Throughout her life she’s always been a planner and ever since she can remember she has always dreamt of being a businesswoman and buidling her own empire. In 2007 she took the leap of faith, she realised that she could leverage her passion and skills into a business opportunity and Precious Celebrations was born. But it wasn’t until 2011 after strategizing and researching the industry that she registered the company and had the courage to say goodbye to corporate South Africa and become an entrepreneur.
Prior to Precious Celebrations being a fully operational business, she gained her skills and experience whilst working for companies such as Builders Warehouse (Massmart) as Communications Manager, Altech Autopage Cellular as Corporate Affairs Manager, Conservation Corporation Africa (andBeyond), as PR/Marketing Coordinator and Sun International as Public Relations Assistant.
Recently, as Event Director and Shareholder for an Event Production Agency Currin't Events, she worked on various luxury brands such Dune London, T.M Lewin, Carolina Herrera, Valentino, Versace, Givenchy, Calvin Klein, Roberto Cavalli, Lipsy London, Paco Rabanne, Lucky Brand and corporate clients such as Philips, Jetmart, ASCO and many more.
