Joburg woman wins R2.6m water bill dispute

Justice prevailed for a Johannesburg woman after her two-and-a-half-year battle over a municipal water bill ended in her favour.

Following an investigation by the Public Protector, it was revealed that a faulty water meter had been behind the billing dispute.

According to eNCA, more than R2.6 million has now been credited to Bot’s municipal account.
